We elected Caroline Lucas, now lets elect Adam Ramsay

Adam Ramsay is standing for Carfax ward Oxford in the May local elections.

No shallow electoralist, he has a track record of waging non violent direct action with UK Uncut and promoting alternative anti-capitalist ideas.

Absolutely imperative to work to get him elected!

Action weekend 4th February here

I am planning, as there are no elections in Brighton or in my ward in Berkshire, to work to get him elected, canvassing and leafletting and social media-ing for him.

Put some time in helping Caroline Lucas's campaign for MP, even managing to get Hugh Kerr former Labour MEP down to help with me, going to do the same for Adam and so should you!

Given the dire state of the environment and the advance of the pro-cuts agenda it is so important to work practically to change the politics.

Politics has to be practical and focussed, please come and help get him elected, it all helps.

Adam was Edinburgh’s student president 2008 - 2009 where he helped secure a rent freeze and a £1000 increase in income for the poorest Scottish students. He worked on lots of successful campaigns including the campaign to abolish tuition fees in Scotland.
He now works in central Oxford for a charity helping students take action for global justice and campaigns against cuts to public services.
Adam is co-editor of www.brightgreenscotland.org, has written for numerous magazines, newspapers and blogs, and was voted one of Britain's top 10 left wing bloggers this year.

He is involved in various ways in anti-cuts, feminist, anti-fees, global justice and human rights campaigning organisations.

Adam grew up in Scotland and now lives in Oxford. In his spare time he likes to cook, and, when he occasionally escapes the ambient glow of a laptop, to walk in the hills.
