They celebrated world environment day June 5th by killing Amazon defenders

I hear a lot of environmental rhetoric, not enough action.

On 5th June, 2008 the Peruvian government killed over a 100 indigenous people resisting the destruction of the Amazon.

Serious green politics, focussed environmentalism or even what we might call enlightened self-interest, has solidarity with these people.

Spread the word, the indigenous are on the web, take a regular look.

Finally don't forget today there is a Presidential election with two contenders, one Fujimori is the daughter of a previous President who killed and bribed and has 300,000 indigenous women sterilized...the other candidate Humala stood with the indigenous at Bagua.

How many $ms are being poured in by corporations to elect Fujimori, so don't just transition town get involved in focussed political action for planet and people!
