Shocked to find that the Independent is backing the coup.

I can imagine with IMF control, sweeping spending cuts and austerity, nice liberal newspapers calling for a strong hand to defend the British constituency in the future.

Independent? Perhaps not.

The Honduran President has some huge faults but a) the elite wanted him out because he was doing something for the poor and indigenous b) he was removed at gunpoint.


Don't get me started on the environment, the old Latin American elites have slashed and burned the forests, sold off resources and wrecked ecosystems, tragic that British newspapers are unconcerned with this.
