got there to do the pre budget but they were stuck for a green to talk about 4 by 4s instead...so did 4 by 4...Green party press office claim to have a vid of this, obviously should have been Sian!


Did prebudget for bbc news channel...so two small slices of tv in one day

You are strong on critique, but slightly less clear on alternatives - and where you are specific you say the Greens do actually favour a version of Green taxation. So by the sound of it you are actually you are rather closer to the mainstream despite the ultra-radical mood music.

And if the market is a blunt instrument, well so is the state power - so talk specifics...

Personally, I'd like a nice personal carbon ration, I could sell off to such wealthy city type. That would be nice and redistributive, surely?

cheap fares would be a start, nationalised rail, ecotaxes not vat,
coops and mutuals as the starting point of a post capitalist economy, etc, have a look at the last chapter of Babylon when it gets republished open source for some detailed politically economy plus have a look at earlier postings on climate change
