Bristol transition town economics meeting

thanks to Will Brown from this....I used to live about a hundred yards from the Miners Arms...I think there was coal mining in Bristol at one time....used to go to the very good and non sectarian Marxist Forum meetings there and have a pint or several.

Life was good in St Werburghs....city farm and all that....catch the meeting if you are in Bristol...Will is a super good bloke! If you live in St Werburghs think yourself lucky....nostalgia over from Dr Wall...on to Will's message.

Hi folks,

The meeting of the transitionBS3 group ‘Discussing the World Economy’ will be

7-30 Monday 19th May, upstairs at the Miners’ Arms, Mina Road, St Werburghs. This is to be a regular monthly slot – the third Monday.

Clare Spencer will talk briefly about FOOD and its place in the world economy. With world cereal prices doubling since Xmas the economics of food are currently a hotly debated issue.

The meeting is planned to be comprehensible to everybody. There will be plenty of opportunity for discussion including proposals for future meetings. Will Brown, Totterdown

PS Did you know that the richest 1,100 people in the world own twice as much as the poorest 2,500,000,000?
