Ecosocialist meeting in Paris

I regret to say I am not on the Burma demo in London today because I am off to Paris in a minute or two to attend the Ecosocialist International meeting which has been in preparation for many months, incidentally I regret that the Green Party don't seem to have managed to put the Burma march details on the website...although there has been a greenmail of support from Jean Lambert MEP who along with Caroline is consistently very good and active on peace, envi, justice...

I am hoping the Paris meeting will allow ecosocialists internationally to network, although as you know, I am not big on any meeting that involves people flying...I am in an easy position with a journey of a couple of hours from Kent to Paris. The plan is to have a bigger meeting in South America next year which I will only join by video!

Very busy here ofcourse with General Election fever and as usual I have been busy as Principal Speaker, with meetings this week with Twickenham Green Party and a debate with Chris Huhne MP at SOAS...stuff written for Comment is Free on the Goldsmiths clan and Morning Star on saying no to oil addiction.

Anyway join me in Paris, perhaps?
The meeting will be held during the day on Sunday October 7, 2007, and in the morning of Monday October 8, 2007. We plan to begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Place: The meeting will convene Sunday morning in salle Franklin, 60 rue Franklin, Métro mairie de Montreuil. (That’s the Town Hall of Montreuil, which is on the eastern edge of Paris.)

The Monday morning session will be held in the National Assembly building in Paris.
