Truth be told I am not really coping with facebook.
Its not yet my thing.
When it comes to technology, I am a notorious late adopter. I can't even feed this blog on to my facebook.....
Facebook also seems like the private made public to a degree which would of scared Hannah Arendt witless (she of course thought they should be seperate to keep us sane and happy)....However I have joined 'Muslims and non Muslims against Islam4UK march in Wootton Bassett' facebook group
And I hope all you dear readers, even Sir Howard Newby and John Gormley, join as well.
The group notes 'We are also deeply saddened by the racist and ignorant views being condoned against Muslims in the group : "No to the ISLAM4UK march through Wootton Bassett"
and welcome all peace loving people to join us here.'
Apparently one of the "No to the ISLAM4UK march through Wootton Bassett" co-ordinators is a BNP activist.
MUSLIMS AND NON MUSLIMS AGAINST ISLAM4UK MARCH THROUGH WOOTTON BASSETT:
This group started off for Muslims alone, so that we could voice our views on extremists and extremism as the vast Majority of Muslims believe that the views of the extremists go against the Values and teachings of Islam.
But with great support from people of different faiths, race and ethnic background who are sick of the fast growing-religious hatred being spread on other groups related to the march held in Wootton Basset, I decided it was best to change the group title to one which relates to both Muslims and the rest of the British community who will stand alongside the Muslims in their struggle to silence extremists.
It is time that people of different religious, racial and ethnic background unite against hate-preachers. This country is known for it's diversity. Let the extremists not divide us.
United we send one message: we are against this.

Although we may be against the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and the loss of innocent civilian lives,we believe that the planned march through Wootton Bassett will only cause hatred, division and misunderstanding. There are other means of protesting, and other ways of havin your voice heard. Being against the wars, we are greatly saddened by losses on both sides, including the British soldiers. We would never disrespect them or their families.
ISLAM4UK is a group with extreme views, and has long been associated with another extreme organisation, which applauds terrorism and has been banned on university campuses.

You switch to HTML mode and then copy and paste the "embed" code into your post.
The embed code is usually on the right hand side, you may have to click on the menu to find it.
Once you've done that you may have to re-size it to fit a blog page. Just change the width and height settings in the HTML code but they appear twice, so you have to do it twice.

well over my hour long lunch break I failed to import my blog into facebook and failed to upload a video,
give it another go in 2011 may be!
Derek, to post a youtube video, do the following. Go to the page like you're going to make a regular post. Make sure you on on you have selected the 'edit html' and not the 'compose' tab. On youtube, every video (unless the poster of the video declined to make it available) has an embed code. Copy the embed code and paste it on your blogger posting page where you would paste or type text. Then simply publish it. Here is an embed code for a short clip of Joel Kovel speaking interspersed with images and some sort of industrial techno music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG7sY122cwY Try it with this as a test if you want. Right at the top right you'll see the embed code next to the video. Copy that text and then paste it on your blogger posting page. You can change the size where it says width 340 and height 285 by changing those numbers.
