Glad to see this bigoted man (who allegedly is a homosexual himself, if rumour is to be believed) - http://www.towleroad.com/2006/10/homophobic_poli.html - has conceded defeat in the Presidential elections - http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/10503555.stm .
Sadly, the winning party who now have President and PM, Civic Platform, are our favourite type of "Liberal Conservatives" pushing for the privatisation of all remaining public sector areas. Better than right wing fundamentalists to some degree, though I don't think Kaczynski's Law and Justice Party are as economically liberal as Civic Platform ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Civic_Platform ).
Depressing whichever way this goes though - looking at both parties' stances on things like abortion and gay rights. I'm sure Green Co-President Dariusz Szwed is equally depressed!
